Athlete Information

Thank you very much for registering and racing! The Skimo athletes are the reason Skimo volunteers give freely of their time. Your safety and a positive experience are our goals.

Registration for SMCC CMR Skimo Races is only available at Zone4.ca

There is Wifi @ CMR Base. No cell coverage.

Equipment: For athletes racing the Individual race, beacon, probe, shovel, helmet, layered clothes, eye protection, space blanket, skis/skins, whistle, and a pack are mandatory. A lesser combination of the above equipment is required for the Vertical and Sprint race. To be presented at Tech briefings.

CMR offers various on-hill accommodations options. Visit www.skicastle.ca

Beaver Mines is 15 minutes from CMR and 45 minutes from Pincher Creek.

Uphill skinning

CMR offers uphill skiing – on Huckleberry Trail only. (Follow signage from Base). There is also a groomed X-country loop available, with some nice steep pitches & plenty of room. Uphill skiing anywhere else on CMR tenure is absolutely forbidden and a violation of same by any Skimo athlete is possible grounds for elimination.  Do not make the Race Director/Jury President have to sanction any athlete, pretty please.

See you there!
